Since horses were introduced, hunting got so much easier for the Native Americans. It also made hunting more important to them. The horses made it easier and faster to hunt Bison. The bison were able to run faster than the Indians, but when the horses came along, they were able to run as fast or even faster than the bison. Also, before the horse the Indians ran the bison off of a cliff. There were also different methods of hunting.

Buffalo were able to run faster than hunters on foot. With the help of the horse, a group of hunters could ride up to a herd a buffalo and get close enough to shoot them with an arrow.
